A monthly event for the Pythonistas in Bangkok led by Dylan Jay and Dasapich Yo Thongnopnua. Assisted occasionally to gather speakers or sponsors.

ABOUT
Started since September 2014. The members meet up for talks about Python related topics conducted in English. ThaiPy currently has about 4,246 members (Feb 2021) on Meetup.com.

Monthly meetup for those using python, learning python of just py-curious. Python is one of more popular programming languages in the word and rising further, being used in fields such as web, science, big data, dev-ops and digital entertainment. We to have talks from beginners to advanceāļ and provide a friendly atmosphere to meet and network with your fellow pythonistas.

Typical Schedule

  • 18:30: arrive and mingle
  • 19:00: 2 talks (10-25min each with 30 mins break)
  • 20:00: Lightning talks (bring something you can present in 5min or less)
  • 20:30: Move to nearby bar

Age group: Below 20 - 10%, 20-30 - 40%, 30-50 - 50%
Thais - 60%, Expats - 40%
Experienced developers - 40%, 1-3 years experience - 45%, Novice - 15%
Male - 80% , Female - 20%

Sponsorship ThaiPy is a community event for the Pythonistas located in Bangkok. We welcome sponsorship from companies. Basic breakdown of the sponsorship: 1. Food : pizzas and snacks (5,000 baht, approx. 157USD) 2. Beer & Beverages: (2,000 baht, approx. 65USD)

We will usually encourage a sponsorship commitment of a minimum 3 months to create better branding impact.
