If you ask me what I do, I'll probably pause, trying to figure out which version of myself to introduce first. 1.0, 3.0? 4.12v8 with a patch?
I’m a self-taught polymath who learned by doing. I organize events, build brands, connect communities, and find meaning in the little details in my life. I'm a board member of the Python Software Foundation, a Fellow, and a Community Service Award recipient. I thrive where people and ideas meet.
Studies show the longest-lived people are those surrounded by community. I’ve known this since I organized my first event at 17. I feel most alive when people come together. In a busy conference hall, a quiet cafe, or even an online forum. That’s where real ideas form and friendships grow.
Over the years, I've organized user groups, conferences, hackathons, and virtual gatherings. I've watched quiet people find their voices, ideas become real, and teams build bonds that last long after projects end.
This is why I work with people, for people. Nothing works without people. Machines can be automated. LLMs can be trained. But only people can reach out, connect, and build the REAL communities. Communities that last.
We are people.
I've spoken at various conferences, mostly Python events, about open-source community growth, branding, and inclusivity.
Companies and individuals have also reached out for consultation. I help teams and leaders turn their ideas into clear and practical steps. The goal is always something that works and lasts.
